Volume 19 of Language Documentation and Description is now online with 10 papers available for free download. The papers cover languages from Africa, Asia, Australia-Pacific, and North, Central and South America. For the first time, we include abstracts in languages other than English, namely Spanish, Portuguese, French, Nepali, and Tok Pisin.
This has been a “bumper year” for the journal, with three volumes (LDD17, LDD18 and LDD19) being published, comprising 33 papers totalling 448 pages. Gratifyingly, many of these are by early career researchers and discuss poorly-known spoken and signed languages from around the world. As usual, all papers were subject to rigorous double-blind peer review.
We wish all our readers a safe and Happy New Year and look forward to seeing you back here at EL Blog in 2021.
